WB Joseph E. Lumpkin, Jr., Past Master of Acacia Lodge no. 315 passed away on Monday, April 14. His service will be held at Pineview Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel on Friday, April 18 at 10:00am. Masonic rites will be conferred. Lodge will open at 8:45am and we will travel to the chapel shortly thereafter.

I hope that everyone is doing well after the ice storm that we’re moving on to better, warmer weather. We have good things and plenty of work ahead of us in the coming months.

We have our first EA° on Friday, March 21, conferred by Brother Kevin Morris. Come and support our new candidate into Freemasonry. This will be this man’s first introduction into our fraternity, so let’s come out in full force and make a good and lasting impression.

Due to the incliment weather, the Worthy Matron and Worth Patron urge all sisters and brothers of Golden Glow Chapter to remain home, safe and warm. We will simply not have a quorum necessary to open the Chapter. We will see you all safe and soundly at our next regular meeting on Thursday, March 13 at our usual time.

It is indeed an honor to have been elected by you to serve this great lodge as Worshipful Master for 2014. I consider it an honor and a privilege to reside in the East and I welcome the duties and responsibilities that come with this station.

I look forward to the ensuing Masonic year. Already, we have a MM° set for Feb. 28, and have begun investigating new candidates for initiation. 2013 set a great precedent for the growth of our lodge. I pray that we are just as busy with work as we were last year.
